when a chicken is sick you must kill him growing up on a farm taught me this you see if a chicken is sick, he is no good to himself, or other chickens providing you find the chicken before he is dead and you can determine that he is in fact sick you are goven only one option and that is too kill him soon or else his meat will be no good to you and losing an adult chicken is a considerable loss. when killing a chicken, you cut his head off this is a well known fact it is also known that his body will run around for a time after being decaptitaed it's a very somebering thing to watch the body you see knows not that it is dead, it's moving on reflex alone eventually after running itself tired, it will collapse in one final breath. if any good comes of this, it's knowing that you saved the rest of the chickens from the same affliction and you in turn, saved yourself alot of money. the moral of this story, sometimes you have to kill one aspect of a life, or a culture, to save the rest. i'm sorry melissa, but life works in fucked up ways, we can only but hope to one day understand them
