a chance to sit back and analyze
4 days here, one day gone
and i'm already in denial about you leaving
sure, it's not till saturday,
but it's still too close for comfort.

falling asleep next to you
with cookie dough covered spoons
and empty ben and jerry's containers laying around
was all that i could ever hope it would be

too bad
like all things
this will end before it's even begun
but while we still have this short time
let's make of it what we can
for we still have tomorrow.
