remember when we were little

and we'd hide under the covers of our bed

and everything in the world was right?

i tried that today

at 18 years of age

and it still couldn't stop the tears from coming down

i guess when you're younger the worlds problems

weren't as burdensome

and life didn't seem as much of a struggle.

i guess when we were little

we didn't know what suicide was

and how much better it is

than hiding under the covers

which doesn't solve a damn thing
